Hi Guys,
I own a surface pro 3 running on OS Windows 10.
It's on version: 1703 (Os Build 15063.540).
Recently my Type Cover Keyboard stopped working. I then looked at the 'Device Manager' to check the driver and saw that the Type Cover Driver is missing. This is probably the reason why SP3 does not recognize the keyboard. I tried looking for a downloadable driver for this but i could not find one. I also tried following every alternative solutions that I can see from the internet and nothing seems to have worked for me. I even came across a forum in microsoft, wherein someone reported a similar issue but we are all waiting for an answer from Microsoft. Then I saw this Forum, maybe one of you guys might have encountered the same problem and is able to find a working solution that I can try.

I have tried downloading drivers from the Windows website. I have tried booting with the power+volume up AND IT WORKS IN THAT UEFI MENU but doesn't work after exiting. I have manually updated the HID Keyboard Device to both the 'Surface Type Cover Filter Device' and the 'Surface Touch Cover Filter Device' and neither worked. Contoh rab excel dana desa. I'm out of ideas.

Right click on Start button and select “Device Manager.” In Device Manager find the Unknown Devices with a yellow triangle on it. Right click on the unknown device and select “ Update Driver Software.” Click on “ Let me pick from a list of device drivers ” and select Keyboard and then click next.

Sometime within the last 1-2 weeks my Surface Pro's type cover stopped working. Device Manager shows a failed 'type cover' device under Other Devices (with an exclamation point on it). I don't think it's a hardware issue because if I hold down Power and Volume Up to get into the UEFI screen then my Type Cover keyboard arrows work fine to navigate the menus.

Per https://support.microsoft.com/en-us..ubleshoot-your-surface-type-cover-or-keyboard I've tried uninstalling it and letting the driver re-install, but it just beeps continuously until I disconnect the type cover and then the Device Manager shows the same Other Devices failed device.
I also tried going to Microsoft Download Center and re-installing the latest Surface Pro drivers software. No change.
I also tried System Restore to go back to a system version from a couple days ago. No change.

Besides going to a Microsoft Store are there any other suggestions? Has anyone else had a Type Cover issue after a recent Windows Update?
